Pupils demonstrate a strong command of language

Amritsar: The FIT In Deutsch exam was passed by Spring Daleans who chose to take the German language competency test. The exam was one of the “Value services of the school,” according to Sahiljit Singh Sandhu, Chairman of the Spring Dale Educational Society. It was overseen by representatives of the esteemed Max Mueller Bhavan-Goethe Institute in India, which is the cultural institute of the Federal Republic of Germany.

With its headquarters located in Germany, the institute works globally to promote the study of German and international cultural exchange. Students who pass the FIT In Deutsch Examination certificate course are eligible for an advanced level, and they may also be eligible for scholarships or even a chance to study for free at one of Germany’s prestigious institutions, according to Sandhu. According to school principal Rajiv Kumar Sharma, pupils have the opportunity to participate in foreign language competency programs in languages such as German and French, among others, via the school’s foreign languages department.

Workshop for enhancing capabilities

A one-day capacity-building workshop titled “Joy of Teaching — Creative & Soft Skills” was conducted by Shri Ram Ashram School. Pr SS Chandhok, the creator of the SS Chandhok Talk Show, was the respected resource person at the occasion. A great interchange of ideas and tactics was fostered by the presence of Dr. Anita Bhalla, Principal of Bhavans SL Public School in Amritsar, together with her teachers and Nidhi Sharma, Principal of Vivek Public School in Amritsar. About 250 educators showed up for the program. The workshop covered a wide range of subjects, including fostering social-emotional learning, incorporating technology into the classroom, efficient classroom management, and assessment techniques. It was led by seasoned facilitators with backgrounds in curriculum development and pedagogy.

Training session for the admissions portal

In the university’s Sri Guru Granth Sahib Bhawan Auditorium, Guru Nanak Dev University, in partnership with the Department of Higher Education (DHE), Punjab, and the Directorate of Governance Reforms (DGR), held a training session on the admission site. The purpose of the workshop was to acquaint representatives from associated institutions with the admission portal for the 2024–2025 academic year. Important participants in the discussion were Tarunveer Singh, Technical Support from DGR, Naina Sharma, Manager of DGR, Punjab, and Sandeep from the Department of Public Instructions (DPI), Punjab. They answered questions from nodal officials and gave thorough explanations of the features of the admission site.

Women do well in GNDU exams.

In the GNDU exams, the students of BBK DAV College for Women performed very well. First place in the university went to Ridhima Mahajan from BCA Semester V (90%), and Simran from M.Sc. Internet Studies Semester III (80.5%). Sukhjinder placed second in the university for M.Sc. Internet Studies Semester III (80%). The students’ outstanding achievement in the university examinations was commended by Principal Dr. Pushpinder Walia, who also urged them to maintain their performance going forward.
