The complete ensemble of the television series Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar was there as the trailer was unveiled on Tuesday at a lavish ceremony in New Delhi. The teaser presented a tale of power, treachery, liberation, and love.
The three-minute film took viewers back to the courtesan lifestyle of the 1940s, a time of power struggles, betrayal, love, and independence.
Each member of the cast—Sonakshi Sinha, Manisha Koirala, Richa Chadha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Sanjeeda Sheikh, and Sharmin Sehgal—introduced their characters to the audience via poetry at the beginning of the trailer release. There are many conflicts and battles for India’s independence in the teaser. On May 1, Netflix will launch this Sanjay Leela Bhansali series, marking its online premiere.
