UGC NET June 2024: Verify Eligibility and Fee Schedule; NTA to Release Application Forms Soon

In June, the University Grants Commission-National Eligibility Test (UGC-NET) session I test is scheduled to be administered by the National Testing Agency (NTA). According to the NTA test schedule for 2024–2025 academic year, June 10–21 is most likely when the competitive exam will take place.

The UGC NET June 2024 session registration window is anticipated to begin by April, based on information from the media. City slips and admit cards will be sent to registered candidates after the registration procedure. But the authorities haven’t yet made the formal statement.

Candidates may register themselves by visiting the UGC NET official website at ugcnet.nta.nic.in once the portal opens to applicants for the June Session.

UGC Net June 2024: Qualification Standards
According to the official website, candidates for the UGC NET test must have a master’s degree in any field from an accredited university or its equivalent, with a minimum of 55% of the possible points. However, applicants who fall under one of the restricted categories—OBC, SC, ST, PwD, or transgender—must have the same degree with a minimum of 50% of the possible points.

The UGC has imposed an upper age limit of 20 years for those applying for JRFs, although there is no age restriction for candidates seeking for associate professor positions. Furthermore, applicants who fall within the reserved categories of OBC, ST/SC, transgender, and women are also granted relaxation by NTA.

UGC NET JUNE 2024: APPLICATION GUIDE?
Step 1: Go to ugcnet.nta.nic.in, the official UGC NET website.

Step 2: On the webpage, choose the “UGC NET 2024 application form” link.

Step 3: Register by providing the necessary information, including your phone number and email address.

Step 4: Complete the application by providing all necessary information.

Step 5: Pay the application costs according to the category and upload the required papers.

Step 6: Check the application and click “Submit.”

Step 7: Save a physical copy of the confirmation document for future use by downloading it.

Application fees for UGC NET JUNE 2024
The application cost is Rs 1,100 for general category applicants and Rs 600 for OBC candidates, according to the official website. However, there is an application fee of Rs 275 for those who fall within the reserved categories, such as SC, ST, or PwD.
