Due to time constraints and poor self-care, having a second child and gaining weight after giving birth are never easy.

 

Niriksha gained weight after giving birth to a child in June 2021, reaching 68.5 kg. Her clothing no longer fit, so she had to buy XL or XXL sizes to hide her weight increase. She also regularly felt ill and exhausted. She accepted the challenge at that point and made the decision to prioritize her diet and exercise regimen in order to lose weight.

Five almonds, two walnuts, a teaspoon of sunflower and pumpkin seeds, and two figs in the morning
Around nine in the morning, I had one bowl of poha, upma, vermicelli, pasta (wheat or suji), three idlis, and chutney for breakfast.
Mid-morning: 1 dish of papaya, 1 apple, 1 anar, and 1 orange
Around 1 pm, I had two chapatis, one bowl of vegetables, one bowl of dal, and one bowl of salad for lunch.
Dinner is around 6 p.m.; moong dal khichdi and one bowl salad. She’s done eating for the day with this.
She gave up eating packaged, fried, and junk food. That has really helped her lose weight quickly.
Walking is the best activity for weight reduction, as shown by her fitness regimen. Niharika walks for 45 minutes in the evening and 30 minutes in the morning to make sure she walks 10,000 steps a day. She had only used this regimen, skipping out on other workouts and gym visits, and she had seen incredible progress in her weight reduction efforts. She merely completed her steps and didn’t go to the gym, but she dropped weight quickly after realizing the value of consistency in a fitness regimen.

What aspect of being overweight do you find most challenging?
“It’s never easy to deal with postpartum weight, so when I heard people say things like ‘you can’t lose weight,’ I was inspired to prove them wrong.”In addition, health problems are always a possibility. I’ll stick to my weight since I’ve seen what happens when someone is overweight. I used to get tired quickly and become frustrated occasionally since I had two kids,” explains Niriksha.
