262 employees attend a session for training at Reckong Peo

Dr. Amit Kumar Sharma, the Deputy Commissioner and Kinnaur District Election Officer, was the special guest at today’s training session for poll workers held at the District Education Training Institute in Reckong Peo.

In order to establish a robust democracy, he emphasized the need for a fair and transparent election process and urged the poll workers in attendance to adhere to the Election Commission of India’s rules in the Lok Sabha elections of 2024.

Up to 261 presiding and assistant presiding officers attended the training, and Tehsildar Bhabanagar Pardeep, Tehsildar Pooh Kuldeep Patan, and Tehsildar Kalpa Kanchan Thakur, the master trainer, gave information on EVM and VVPAT for transparent voting in the polling places.

According to Assistant Electoral Officer Dr. Shashank Gupta, poll workers will get initial training until April 26, 2024.

On the occasion were personnel of the Election Department, Superintendent of Elections GR Saxena, Block Development Officer Pooh Abhishek Barwal, and Tehsildar GS Rana of the District Election Department.
