343 grams of heroin were recovered, and five vendors were detained

In an effort to combat anti-social elements in the run-up to the Lok Sabha election, the Malerkotla police said that they had broken up two drug-selling gangs.

Five members of the two gangs were found to have 343 grams of heroin and drug money valued at Rs 1.16 lakh.

Muhammad Imran, also known as Doctor, Muhammad Hanif, Muhammad Azam, also known as Ganja, Azam, also known as Vakil, and Sagufta, also known as Bobby, are the names of the accused.

SSP Malerkotla According to Harkamalpreet Singh Khakh, a CIA squad under the direction of DSP (D) Satish Kumar and Inspector Harjinder Singh seized 270 grams of heroin from Muhammad Imran and Muhammad Hanif as they prepared to deliver the shipment to some unidentified recipients close to the Katti Road railway bridge.

Three members of a separate gang were located and apprehended by the investigative team from other locations, based on the leads they had discovered while questioning Imran and Hanif. From the three, around 73 grams of heroin were found. Additionally, drug money totaling Rs 1.16 lakh was taken from the defendant.
