A blow to Farooq Abdullah, as a number of party leaders in Jammu and Kashmir join the BJP

Months before the Lok Sabha polls, a number of senior figures of the National Conference (NC) in the Jammu area defected to the BJP on Sunday, dealing a blow to the party of former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah.

Senior politician and National Conference district president for Kathua (Rural), Sanjeev Khajuria, along with a number of other office holders and party members, are among the figures who changed sides.

Khajuria applauded the Prime Minister’s leadership of India’s stature on the international scene as well as the practical effects of the Narendra Modi government’s welfare programs.

In the presence of Ravinder Raina, the chairman of the saffron party’s Jammu and Kashmir section, they joined the BJP at the party’s Jammu headquarters.

As she greeted the new members of the party, Raina emphasized the BJP’s dedication to the welfare of all people, regardless of geography or religious beliefs.

“People have trust in the Modi administration and hold the BJP emblem in high regard. According to Rana, the BJP has worked for the well-being of people from all walks of life.

According to the head of the BJP state unit, opposition parties established the INDIA bloc in an attempt to prevent Prime Minister Narendra Modi from carrying out social projects, but “their ill-alliance has failed now due to PM Modi’s ever-growing popularity.”

He said that the BJP has made significant contributions to and accomplishments in the fields of health care, education, infrastructure development, and socioeconomic advancement.

In a different gathering, senior BJP leader and former deputy chief minister Kavinder Gupta encouraged members to fortify the party at the booth level in order to ensure success in the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections.
