A four-month-old Andhra Pradesh newborn girl breaks the global record by correctly naming 120 things

A four-month-old baby girl from Nadigama village in the NTR district has set a global record by astounding people with her extraordinary skill and surprising people around the State.

Challagunda Kaivalya, the newborn, has the amazing capacity to recognize 120 flash cards, consisting of 12 flowers, 27 fruits, 27 vegetables, 27 animals, and 27 bird images.

When Homa, Kaivalya’s mother, first realized her daughter had a unique skill, she made the decision to share it with everyone. On February 3, 2024, Kaivalya became the world’s youngest person to identify over 100 flash cards, setting a new Noble World Record (NWR).

Through the Noble Book of World Records, NWR seeks to archive world records for both humans and the natural world while supporting and assisting new talents with incredible performances. It is the second-largest record book business in the world, after Guinness World Records, having been founded in 2020 in India and Mauritius.

“I was married to my spouse Ramesh in November 2021, and in September 2023 we were gifted with Kaivalya. For the first two months following her birth, I began displaying her black and white flash cards to help with her eye concentration and visibility. I saw that she was focused and not distracted as she looked at them,” Homa said. Software engineers make up the duo.

After she became three months old, I started giving her color flash cards every day for four weeks, focusing on a new category every week, such as fruits, vegetables, flowers, and animals. When I decided to test her one day, when she was four months old, she started responding by touching the things with her hands. It was then that I considered requesting records. My first application was turned down by the India Book of Records because I was younger than the required one and a half years of age. Later, on January 26, we submitted an application to the NWR, who asked for a video demonstrating her recognition of all 120 things. They told us she was chosen for the record after reviewing it, Homa continued. Everyone who has watched the clip, including NWR personnel, was astounded by the baby’s cognitive abilities. Following meticulous examination, they declared Kaivalya the holder of a world record and gave her a unique certificate.

Her delighted parents conveyed their happiness and thanked everyone for their encouragement. They hope that other parents will be motivated by their daughter’s accomplishments to identify and develop any extraordinary gifts their own children may have.
