minors detained with opium plants

Sirsa: On Sunday, the Rori police detained a young man from Jhorar Rohi village named Tarsem Singh after discovering 1.25 kg of dried opium poppy plants in his possession.

According to Vikrant Bhushan, Superintendent of Police, an inquiry has been opened under the Narcotic Drugs and Other Psychotropic Substances Act against the young person. He added that during a raid, someone had tipped off the police about Tarsem Singh of Jhorar Rohi village keeping opium poppy plants on his roof. After then, a police squad searched the home, caught Tarsem, and took the plants.
