A nursing student at AIIMS Delhi commits suicide; body discovered in dorm room

According to authorities, a second-year student at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Delhi reportedly committed suicide on Tuesday in her dorm room on the campus of the renowned medical institution. The police claim that they were notified of the event around 11:30 a.m.

According to a report by news agency ANI, when the police arrived at the scene, they discovered a female student, age 21, hanging in her room. According to reports, the deceased was a Sheikhpura district native of Bihar. The corpse was taken into custody by the police, who then submitted it for post-mortem analysis.

The scene was examined by the crime squad. “At this point, no foul play is suspected. The girl’s parents have been notified,” the police said. According to a source, a suicide note indicating the woman’s despondency stemming from her nursing education and test preparation for the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) was discovered.

A 20-year-old lad is said to have committed himself in Kota, the coaching center of Rajasthan, only five days before to the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET), which is slated for May 5. This is another incidence of suspected student suicide that was reported throughout the day. Bharat Rajput, the deceased’s name, was a NEET candidate. In his suicide note, he said, “I’m sorry, Papa. Even this time, I can’t seem to get it.”

IANS said that there was also a dejected smiley on the message. He was a citizen of Rajasthan’s Dholpur and was staying in a PG building in Kota, according to sub-inspector Ramnaran Meena of the Jawahar Nagar police station. According to Rohit, Bharat’s nephew, this would be his third try at the NEET.
