A Pinjore guy was detained with illegal alcohol

As part of their campaign against illegal activities ahead of the general election to the Lok Sabha, the police in Kalka seized thirty cartons of illicit whiskey from Rambagh Road and detained one individual.

Inspector Yogvinder Singh of the Crime Branch, Sector 19, said that when a squad was on patrol in Kalka, it got a tip about alcohol being moved illegally from Pinjore to Baddi. After that, the cops stopped a white automobile and set up a checkpoint. Thirty crates of illegal booze were found in the car by the police.

A complaint was filed at the Kalka police station under the Haryana Excise Act-2020 after its driver, Karan Chandel, a Pinjore resident, was taken into custody.

According to police authorities, they were conducting border checks and maintaining a close watch.
