Affectionate with the BJP’s seat-sharing proposal, Maharashtra

The BJP-led Mahayuti in Maharashtra settled its seat-sharing disagreement and provisionally agreed upon a 36:8:4 formula for the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections thanks to the involvement of Union home minister Amit Shah.

According to the formula, the BJP will run for 36 of the 48 seats in the state, while Ajit Pawar’s NCP and Eknath Shinde’s Shiv Sena will run for 8 and 4 seats, respectively. Nonetheless, the BJP’s allies both expressed their displeasure.

According to well-placed sources, Shah traveled to Mumbai on Tuesday night and met with Chief Minister Shinde and Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar after his speeches at election rallies in Akola, Jalgaon, and Sambhaji Nagar.

Eknath Shinde, Amit Shah, and Ajit Pawar: The governing coalition faces a problem as Shinde and the BJP are unable to reach a consensus on seat sharing.
“Shinde said he ran for at least 13 seats since he had 13 serving members of the Lok Sabha who defected from Uddhav Thackeray and joined him. “Ajit Pawar requested nine seats,” the source, who wished to remain anonymous, stated. Shah, however, informed them that some survey results seemed to indicate otherwise.

“The public’s resentment of the allies is evident, and their candidates have virtually little chance of winning. In light of this, it is preferable for the BJP to run more candidates in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s honor. Gaining as many seats as possible in the Lok Sabha is crucial for the BJP. “In the assembly elections, Shah promised them a better deal,” he said.
