According to RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat, extremists from across the border were involved in the violence in Manipur

In a statement released on Tuesday, RSS president Mohan Bhagwat claimed that the violence in Manipur had been planned and attributed “outside forces” to the upheaval in the northeastern state.

There, Meiteis and Kukis shared a long-term residence. A border state it is. Who stands to gain from internal strife and secessionism like this? External factors also profit. Was there outside involvement in what occurred there?” questioned Bhagwat.

Speaking at the RSS Dussehra rally in Nagpur, Bhagwat also underlined his worries about awakened and cultural Marxists who are using their power in the media and academics to undermine the nation’s culture and education.

Additionally, he said that on January 22, the idol of Lord Ram will be put in the Ayodhya temple, and he encouraged people to rejoice by planning events at temples all throughout the nation.

Bhagwat inquired over the Manipur situation: “Union Home Minister Amit Shah was in Manipur for three days. Who was the real cause of the conflict? Violence is being manufactured; it does not really occur.

Which foreign forces would be interested in leveraging turmoil and instability in Manipur, he continued to enquire? Does Southeast Asian geopolitics also play a part in these events?

“Some event happens just as tranquility is about to return. The divide between the communities develops as a result. Who is responsible for the individuals doing these acts? Who is driving the conflict? He queried.

Bhagwat expressed his admiration for the Sangh members who struggled to restore peace in Manipur.

Ahead of the general elections in 2024, he asked voters to cast their ballots while keeping in mind the country’s unity, integrity, identity, and growth and warned against efforts to win votes by stirring up emotions.

He made reference to the usage of “toolkits” that promote violence, foster distrust and animosity among people, stressing the need of cooperating peacefully and responsibly without being sidetracked by irregular incidents.

Bhagwat underlined the three factors—devotion to the homeland, pride in ancestors, and shared culture—that unite the country. He urged adherents of religions with non-Indian roots to respect these principles.

According to Bhagwat, awakened people and cultural Marxists encourage anarchy, turmoil, and corruption. They aim to undermine society orderliness, morality, culture, dignity, and restraint with the help of their influence in the media, academia, and other fields.

He commended the government for organizing the G20 Summit effectively, which demonstrated India’s goodwill and diplomatic skill in securing the African Union’s admission as a member.

In his last remarks, Bhagwat emphasized the need for India to develop a new vision based on its own value systems in order to meet the current requirements and challenges of the world in the midst of the problems brought on by religious fanaticism, sectarianism, hubris, and extremism.
