Ahead of the next elections, Priyanka Gandhi is expected to play a significant role for the Congress

As a result of her party’s successes in Himachal Pradesh and Karnataka, Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi is expected to be a key player in the party’s election campaigns later this year.

According to an report, Priyanka Gandhi has already conducted a rally in Telangana.

According to the newspaper, she is scheduled to speak at one in Madhya Pradesh on June 12 and is anticipated to emphasize the party’s pledge of an income guarantee of Rs 1,500 there. She’ll probably run a big campaign in Chhattisgarh as well.

According to the article, the Congress campaign in the most recent elections in Karnataka included the Mahila Samvaad (women forums), a concept she proposed and put into practice in the party’s women-focused campaign in the Uttar Pradesh election last year.

It will play a significant role in the approaching election campaigns for the Congress, together with the pledge of economic assistance for women, free gas, and free public transportation.

“Now that UP is over, the Congress is thinking differently about women voters. because the leadership is aware that women demand answers to the rising cost of goods. Increasing the number of female candidates is another crucial issue that Priyankaji has been advocating for. Priyanka Gandhi is pressing for this despite the fact that her own party officials vehemently oppose it, according to a party leader who was quoted as saying.

In light of Rahul Gandhi’s disqualification as a result of his conviction in a defamation case, it is thought that Priyanka Gandhi’s involvement in Karnataka was significant.

According to Congress insiders, Priyanka Gandhi provided the party with the largest boost during its campaign in Himachal Pradesh, where it gained 40 seats and reduced the BJP’s representation from 44 to 25. It included influential figures including Rajeev Shukla of the Congress and Bhupesh Baghel, the chief minister of Chhattisgarh.

Despite the Gandhi family’s historical and familial ties to Karnataka and Telangana—Indira Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi both ran for office and won from Bellary, while the former also ran from Medak—Priyanka Gandhi had the strongest emotional ties to Himachal Pradesh.

She often said how Rajivji had spread Indiraji’s ashes in the hills since she had told him that she intended to spend her last days in Himachal Pradesh and had told family members as much. She was the one who pushed for the Old Pension Scheme for public workers and the $500 gas cylinder price, according to a Congress official who was reported as saying.

No matter where in Karnataka she went, she demanded that the chanting be only for the Congress and that they should be loud. Another Congress leader said that she continued to instill people with josh (enthusiasm) and give them the assurance that they could succeed.

“She doesn’t like addressing people from a distance,” she said. “Woh door se baat nahin karti.” She dislikes restrictions and does best when left alone with other women, according to a leader who is close to her.

Local BJP supporters from Mathura brought a Rajasthani rape victim to Priyankaji’s rally to demonstrate the poor status of the state’s administration; instead, Priyankaji took the woman to the banks of the Yamuna, talked to her like a mother, and enrolled her in college. Even today, they communicate often, according to the official who was cited before.

She places a lot of emphasis on zameenipan (ground link), which accounts for why she feels at ease among crowds. She maintains in contact directly with the many individuals she meets and develops bonds with, and those she assists get follow-up care if they need it, the speaker said.
