Attacks on fundamental rights are not a concern for the government, according to Sharad Pawar

Senior politician Sharad Pawar said that the nation’s basic liberties are being violated and that the administration is unconcerned with progressive philosophy.
He said at a gathering on Tuesday that a unified front against “regressive” authorities was necessary, after the dedication of the monument to the late Leftist leader Govind Pansare in Kolhapur, Maharashtra.

“Today, there is an abuse of power, a suppression of free speech, limitations placed on the right to write freely, and blocking of news outlets. This implies that the assaults on basic rights are not a concern for individuals in positions of authority,” Mr. Pawar said.

The head of the NCP, Sharad Pawar, said that while “regressive” forces are becoming more prevalent in the nation, leaders are unconcerned about the progressive philosophy.

He asserted Only twenty minutes are allotted to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s appearances in the Rajya Sabha, where choices on public policy and everyday matters are addressed and resolved.

“(Prime Minister) bows at the threshold of Parliament to begin the session. “This is mere theater,” said the former Union minister.

In an attempt to demonstrate his rising intolerance, he cited examples such as the arrest of former chief minister of Jharkhand Hemant Soren, the assault on the organizers of the ‘Nirbhay Bano’ rally in Pune, and the “harassment” of Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal.

Senior journalist Nikhil Wagle was just driving to the ‘Nirbhay Bano’ event in Pune when his vehicle was assaulted.

“A tribal chief minister in Jharkhand was arrested after fictitious charges were brought against him. By locking up his ministers, Arvind Kejriwal is being tormented, Mr. Pawar remarked.

He said that government organizations like the ED are being abused and that those who actually are corrupt are treated differently from others who have a different stance.

Sharad Pawar’s draft of a Maratha Quota bill is similar to the one that the Supreme Court struck down.

The battle should not be limited to elections; instead, all progressive forces with similar values should unite in order to help those who have been oppressed.

He said that the true homage to Pansare would be to combat regressive tendencies.

Leader of the CPI Govind Pansare was fired on February 16, 2015, in Kolhapur by three persons who remained anonymous. Four days after his injuries, he passed away.

Mr. Pawar also mentioned the assassinations of Kannada scholar MM Kalburgi and rationalist Narendra Dabholkar.

“The assailants believe they will overthrow progressive authorities. However, ideology must be used to fight the ideological battle. But the immoral inclinations take the law into their own hands and carry out these kinds of crimes,” he said.

Leader of the CPI D Raja recounted his relationship with the deceased Pansare.

“At the moment, saving India is everyone’s top priority. Voters have to reject the BJP and oppose the communal forces,” he said.
