BJP claims that Priyanka Gandhi tried to outshine Rahul Gandhi by posting anything in Israel

Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi, the leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party, took aim at Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Saturday, stating that she was “shocked and ashamed” that India had abstained from voting on a resolution at the UN General Assembly that called for a humanitarian truce in the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas.

“Those who feel “shocked and embarrassed” need to understand that India would never support terrorism. India’s Vote Explanation clearly said as much. The former Union minister posted a screen grab of India’s vote abstention. “Our position on the Israel – Palestine issue is steadfast and consistent,” the post said.

Naqvi commented, criticizing the Congressman, “Those who chose to associate with terror do so at their own cost… To put it simply, Priyanka Ji, you need to familiarize yourself with the content that is shared from your X account first. It seems that the folks giving you advice are unaware of Congress’s prior stance on the matter. What’s worse is that they are making you seem foolish in an effort to make you appear “superior” than Rahul.”

Vadra shared a quote from Mahatma Gandhi on the social networking site X: “An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind.” The fact that our nation has refrained from voting in favor of a ceasefire in Gaza astounds and shames me. Truthfulness and nonviolence, which our freedom warriors sacrificed their lives to uphold, served as the cornerstones of our nation’s founding and are enshrined in the constitution that defines our identity. They stand for India’s moral bravery, which served as a compass for its acts as a global citizen.

“Terrorism is a disease that has no boundaries,” India

In her explanation of vote, India’s Deputy Permanent Representative to the UN, Ambassador Yojna Patel, said that this august assembly should be very worried about the use of violence in a world where disagreements and conflicts should be settled by discussion.

According to her, using violence to further political goals causes indiscriminate harm and does not lead to long-term solutions.

Patel called the terror incidents that occurred in Israel on October 7 appalling and stated that they should be condemned. There was no mention of Hamas in India’s explanation of the vote.

“Terrorism is a cancer that has no regard for boundaries, ethnicity, or country. There is no excuse for terror attacks that the world should accept. She was cited by PTI as stating, “Let us set aside differences, unite, and adopt a zero-tolerance approach to terrorism.”
