BJP Invites LJP Leader Chirag Paswan To A Meeting On July 18 To Strengthen NDA Against Opposition

According to the report, Chirag Paswan, the leader of the Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas), is expected to attend the July 18 meeting of the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance.

The BJP’s action comes as the opposition is frantically trying to band together in opposition to the Narendra Modi administration, and as the BJP goes all out to prove its might.

For the second time in a week, Union Minister Nityanand Rai visited Chirag Paswan on Friday night. The LJP(R) also revealed a letter that BJP President JP Nadda had sent to the young man inviting him to the NDA meeting, according to PTI.

Nadda characterized the regional party as a significant member of the NDA and a significant ally in the efforts of the government of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to advance the welfare and development of the underprivileged.

The BJP is reaching out to Paswan, the late Ram Vilas Paswan’s son, as part of its effort to win him back over to the NDA after he left the coalition in Bihar during the 2020 state assembly elections to run against then-chief minister Nitish Kumar, who was the BJP’s most important ally.

Chirag Paswan is perceived to have succeeded in holding onto the party’s loyal vote base, signaling to the BJP his importance in a state where it is up against the formidable coalition of the RJD, JD(U), Congress, and the Left, which split the LJP under the leadership of his uncle Pashupati Kumar Paras, now a Union minister.

Many new BJP partners are anticipated to attend the NDA summit, including the Shiv Sena led by Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, the NCP section led by Ajit Pawar, various minor parties from Bihar and Uttar Pradesh, and regional parties from the northeastern regions.

It’s also expected that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend the summit.
