BSF drone downed in Tarn Taran, Punjab, near the Pakistani border

In Punjab’s Tarn Taran area on Friday night, the Border Security Force (BSF) shot down a Pakistani drone that had violated Indian airspace.

“On June 23, 2023, at around 9:12 p.m., BSF detected movement of a suspected drone close to T J Singh Village, District Tarn Taran. According to the established training, BSF personnel responded right away to intercept the drone, according to BSF Punjab Frontier. A damaged drone was found in a field next to the hamlet of Lakhana at about 8:10 on Saturday morning during a joint search operation with the Punjab Police, according to BSF.

The drone that was found is a DJI Matrice 300 RTK class quadcopter.

The BSF said that another Pakistani drone was found in the Ferozepur area thanks to the combined efforts of the BSF and Punjab Police.

The BSF in Punajb’s Fazilka earlier on June 22 discovered a drone coming from Pakistan’s side and two parcels of possible drugs close to the Abohar border.

According to precise information, attentive BSF personnel discovered a Pakistani drone (DJI Matrice 300 RTK) and 2 kg (approximately) of suspected heroin on June 22 during the early morning hours close to the international border in Jodhawala village of Fazilka district, according to a statement from BSF Punjab Frontier.
