chief admiral of the Navy Dinesh Kumar Tripathi said the fleet would be operationally prepared to win a battle at sea

On Tuesday, the recently appointed Chief Admiral of the Indian Navy, Dinesh Kumar Tripathi, said that his only goal will be to guarantee that the Navy is operationally prepared to “win a war at sea” when called upon to do so.

After the retirement of the previous commander, Admiral R. Hari Kumar, the Indian Navy had its 26th leader, Admiral Tripathi.

“The existing and emerging challenges in the maritime domain mandate the Indian Navy to remain operationally ready to deter potential adversities at sea in peace and to ‘win the war at sea’ when asked to do so,” Admiral Tripathi said in his comments upon his assumption of command.

According to the Navy Chief, the Navy has developed into a combat-ready, unified, trustworthy, and forward-thinking force throughout time.

The Admiral pledged to support the Indian Navy’s continuous efforts to become self-sufficient in emerging technologies and a significant pillar of the country’s growth.

According to Admiral Tripathi, his top goal is to upskill our Navy’s human resource, the men and women, and to provide them the greatest equipment, instruction, workspace, and administrative support possible.

He graduated from National Defence Academy at Khadakwasla and Sainik School Rewa. On July 1, 1985, he was commissioned into the Indian Navy’s Executive Branch. Admiral Tripathi specializes in electronic warfare and communication. He was the Signal Communication Officer and Electronic Warfare Officer aboard front-line Navy vessels, and subsequently the Executive Officer and Principal Warfare Officer of the Indian Naval Ship (INS) Mumbai, a guided missile destroyer.

INS Vinash, Kirch, and Trishul are among the maritime commands held by Admiral Tripathi.
