CM Siddaramaiah tells people, “Think before you vote. Modi failed to fulfil promises.”

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah issued a warning to voters in the Lok Sabha election, stating that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been misleading people for the last ten years of his government by telling lies. He urged voters to cast their ballots carefully and support the party that will protect the interests of women, the poor, farmers, and other backward classes.

Siddaramaiah, who addressed a Congress gathering in Gokak on Tuesday, said that Modi, who has been in office since 2014, has made no effort to influence the course of the nation. Thus, he said, “the votes that you (the people) cast in the upcoming polls will decide the future of the country.”

Has Modi lived up to the pledges he made before to taking office as prime minister? The Food Security Act, as well as regulations dealing to the rights to work and education, were introduced by former prime minister Manmohan Singh. If PM Singh hadn’t introduced such Acts, we (the Congress) would not have been able to provide rice to the underprivileged.

Siddaramaiah said, “Modi boasted of creating 2 crore jobs annually and promised to bring back black money from foreign banks, depositing Rs 15 lakh into people’s accounts. However, he did nothing.”

The BJP removed the Axis My India survey, which had just projected 210 seats for the party, off social media as soon as the results were made public, he said.

In response to Modi’s claims that the state government lacked funding for development projects, the chief minister said that his administration had allocated Rs 82,000 crore for development projects in addition to Rs 52,000 crore for guarantee programs.
