Complaint against Kejriwal’s spouse for disclosing audio recordings from the court

On Saturday, a complaint was filed against Sunita Kejriwal for violating privacy laws and legal etiquette in relation to Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s court proceedings.

In the complaint, advocate Vaibhav Singh, claimed that Sunita and a number of political personalities had violated the court’s established video-conferencing guidelines by sharing recordings of these events on social media without the required authorization.

The lawsuit described the unapproved release of audio and video recordings from Special Judge Kaveri Baweja’s court on March 28, during which Kejriwal personally addressed the Bench about the Delhi excise policy matter. These videos went viral on social media, followed by hashtags like #MoneyTrailExposedByKejriwal, suggesting a concerted effort to sway public opinion and shape the storyline around the case.

In addition to Sunita, Advocate Singh has filed lawsuits against other people and political groups that are purportedly responsible for the tapes’ dissemination. In addition to demanding a full inquiry into the situation, the complaint urged appropriate sanctions be taken against any and all persons found to have broken court rules and etiquette.

He said, “There are indications of a planned plot to damage the reputation of the judiciary given the timing of the release of these recordings, which happened soon after Kejriwal was arrested by the ED in relation to the excise policy case.” Singh went on to say that these acts were part of a larger plot to show the court as being prejudiced and controlled by the central government.

He said, “Such actions threaten the rule of law and the impartiality of the judiciary, in addition to undermining the integrity of the legal system.”
