Cong Leader Recounts “Horrific Experience” on IndiGo Flight, Claiming “It Took Off Without The ACs”

Amarinder Singh Raja Warring, the president of the Punjab Congress, recounted his flying experience on Saturday, describing it as “one of the most horrifying experiences while traveling from Chandigarh to Jaipur”.

After complaining that the passengers were suffering as a result of the flight’s malfunctioning air conditioning, Warring requested that the Directorate General of Civil Aviation and the Airports Authority of India investigate into the situation and take strong measures to resolve it. Additionally, he said that passengers were receiving tissues from the flight attendants to wipe away their perspiration.

“Had one of the most horrifying experiences while traveling from Chandigarh to Jaipur today in Aircraft 6E7261 by @IndiGo6E,” Warring posted on Twitter. We had to wait for approximately 10 to 15 minutes in the sweltering heat in the line, and to our horror, when we got on the plane, the ACs didn’t function, so the airplane took off without them! All of the passengers were compelled to “Suffer” during the flight since the ACs were off from takeoff to landing.

He said, “During the trip, no one addressed the major worry. In reality, the flight hostess ‘generously’ gave the passengers tissue sheets to wipe away their perspiration. Women and children were among the majority of restless and disturbed passengers. The health and comfort of the passengers were jeopardized since the authorities in question just cared about making a quick buck, he said, adding a video of other passengers fanning themselves and the flight attendants passing out tissues to everyone.

The Congress politician was traveling on an IndiGo aircraft, and this airline has had a history of mishaps where customers have complained about broken air conditioning, technical difficulties, and emergency landings.

In 2018, an Indigo passenger who was flying from Delhi to Kolkata reported feeling suffocated due to the aircraft’s malfunctioning air conditioning.

According to reports, on August 4, a mechanical issue forced an IndiGo aircraft from Patna to Delhi to make an emergency landing three minutes after takeoff. Due to identical mechanical difficulties on the same day, another aircraft with a destination of Ranchi made a landing at the Delhi airport from whence it had taken off an hour earlier.
