Door-to-door C&D garbage collection has started by GHMC

A program to collect construction and demolition (C&D) trash from homes around the city has been initiated by the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC). The company wants to provide a sustainable Swach Hyderabad by reducing air pollution, safeguarding water bodies, preventing floods, and preserving natural resources for future generations. To this end, the corporation is urging residents to use paid services for the correct disposal of C&D.

The GHMC states that residents may use the doorstep paid service to have their construction and demolition (C&D) trash, which is collected by GHMC-approved firms, lifted. Access to this service may be obtained via My GHMC App → Paid Service – Construction & Demolition Waste pickup service request or via the GHMC website at www.ghme.gov.in → Online Services → Construction & Demolition Waste Pick Up service request.

Area-by-area, the GHMC is collecting the C&D garbage. Contact the toll-free number 1800-120-1159 or WhatsApp 9100927073 for the GHMC circles, which include Uppal, Hayathnagar, L B Nagar, Saroornagar, Malakpet, Santhoshnagar, Amberpet, Yousufguda, Serilingampally, Chandanagar, R C Puram & PTC, Moosapet, Kukatpally, Quthbullapur, and Gajularamaram.

For C&D garbage pickup, the following circles may be contacted: Chandrayangutta, Charminar, Falaknuma, Rajendranagar, Mehdipatnam, Karwan, Goshamahal, Jubilee Hills, Kapra, Musheerabad, Khairtabad, Alwal, Malkajgiri, Secunderabad, and Begumpet. According to GHMC Commissioner Ronald Rose, residents may store their construction and demolition (C&D) trash on their property at a convenient location close to the gate. They may then use one of the aforementioned contact methods to request that it be removed. The necessary trucks will be sent out by GHMC’s approved C&D waste management provider to collect the garbage when payment has been received. It is asked to refrain from combining C&D garbage with other kinds of waste.

In order to properly dispose of C&D garbage for future generations and to create a sustainable Swach Hyderabad, the Commissioner further asked that the public use the services of C&D waste management organizations authorized by the GHMC.
