End of the Solan University Literature Festival: Poetry to Pop Culture

The Chitrakoot School of Liberal Arts at Shoolini University, which is organizing the Shoolini Literature Festival, wrapped up its fourth edition recently. An insightful discussion titled “The Rise of Seven Sisters: Transformation of Northeast India” kicked off the festival’s second day. Director of the School of Media and Communications Professor Vipin Pubby led a panel discussion with Northeast India-focused anthropologist Rami Desai and novelist and national BJP spokesman Tuhin A. Sinha.

“Dastaan-e-Dastarkhan” was a culinary spectacle where MasterChefs Nidhi Sharma and Shipra Khanna shared their knowledge. The seminar was led by Professor Ekta Singh and Neeraj Chaudhury, who shared insights into the culinary ideologies of the chefs. “Smoked frames: Poetry from the heart,” which included Indu Negi, an assistant professor at Shoolini University, in discussion with Dr. Diwakar Goel and Rupasa, brought poetry to the forefront. Prominent poet and inspirational speaker Diwakar Goel mesmerized the crowd with words of wisdom.

In a separate session, the festival explored the world of music with “The Life and Death of a Legend: Sidhu Moosewala.” Fans of literature were treated to interesting events such as the Reels to Real: Mindfulness session, which included actress Shruti Seth, and the book-reading session with Rsvika Tripathi in discussion with Dr Nasser Dasht Peyma. This seminar, which was facilitated by Manju Ramamnan, offered insightful information on the significance of mindfulness. Shruti Seth emphasized that mistakes are a necessary part of learning and urged the audience to take it to heart.

Dr. Harshali Singh, Siddharth Pandey, and Mona Verma were recognized for their attention to the Himalayas and its rich cultural heritage at the event.

The audience was enthralled by a session titled “Reverence Renewed: Lord Rama – the icon of modern India,” which was facilitated by Nilesh Kulkarni, the author of “In the Footsteps of Rama.”
