Five cell phones were taken out of Ferozepur prison

Four jail prisoners, including three undertrials and one prisoner, have been booked by the police after five cell phones were taken from the property.

Following the inputs, an unexpected inspection of the barracks was carried out, according to Assistant Jail Superintendent Sukhjinder Singh. During this inspection, a cell phone (complete with SIM card and battery) was taken from undertrial Eklavya, and a cell phone (complete with SIM card and battery) was found from another undertrial, Karanveer. “An additional mobile phone was discovered concealed behind the LED installed within the barrack,” said Sukhjinder.

In another instance, two cell phones were taken during a check from Rahul, a prisoner, and Lakhan, an undertrial.

It is important to note that more than 100 cell phones have already been taken out of prison this year.
