From Kargil to Srinagar, the IAF airlifts two patients in need of immediate medical attention

The Indian Air Force on Wednesday bravely flew two civilian patients from Kargil to Srinagar who were in urgent need of medical attention.

The two citizens requested IAF aid via the local civil government, and the IAF An-32 aircraft carried out the evacuation mission.

Two civilian patients were airlifted from Kargil to Srinagar today by an Indian Air Force An-32 transport aircraft. The Indian Air Force said in a post on X that the patients, who were in urgent need of medical attention, requested IAF assistance via the local civil administration.

Kargil is situated in Ladakh’s higher altitude regions.

Additionally, the IAF carried out a gallant mission last week in which a prompt and effective airlift operation saved the life of an Army jawan who had severed his hand handling equipment at a forward unit site in Ladakh. After a successful operation, the jawan was able to preserve his “hand” and is now recovering.
