Heroin was recovered when three members of the Landa gang were apprehended

In a coordinated operation on Friday, the Sarhali police and the local CIA personnel apprehended three criminals from the Lakhbir Singh Landa module, which has been designated as a terror cell by the Union Government, along with heroin and weapons off national highway No. 54 close to Sheron village.

Speaking to reporters during a press conference held here today, SSP Ashwani Kapur said that the vehicle they were traveling in had been found to contain 1.2 kg of heroin, three handguns produced in the nation, four magazines, and twenty cartridges. According to him, the criminals that were apprehended were Shamsher Singh Shera from Jaura village, Mohpreet Singh Moh from Thathian Mahantan, and Gurpreet Singh Gopi from Naushehra Pannuan.

According to the SSP, Gurpreet was engaged in an RPG assault on the Sarhali police station around two years ago, but the authorities released him since he was a minor at the time. Later, he made contact with Landa and joined criminals connected to the Landa module. These gangsters used to threaten and harm physicians, businesspeople, and other wealthy individuals.

In addition to Landa, who was operating his module from abroad, Kapur stated that Yadwinder of Chamba Kalan, Gurdev Singh Jaisal of Chambal, and Satbir Singh of Naushehra Pannuan had also been charged. At Tarn Taran and other police stations, people who were arrested are now dealing with several criminal charges.
