Himachal CM: Surveys for the Dodra-Kwar and Kotkhai-Hatkoti Tunnels would be conducted

Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, the chief minister of Himachal Pradesh, said on Friday that surveys will be carried out for the building of Kotkhai-Hatkoti and

Dodra-Kwar tunnels would be quite helpful for the people in these locations.

Since highways were obstructed by heavy snow at Kharapathar and Chanshal Pass, these tunnels would provide Rohru and Dodra Kwar districts all-weather connection. An attempt will be made, according to the CM, to link Kwar and Uttarakhand.

According to a statement released here, the chief minister visited Rohru for the first time since taking office and announced the inauguration of the Adarsh Health Institute there.

Sukhu reaffirmed that middlemen’s exploitation of apple orchardists would not be accepted. The state’s current budget includes Rs 100 crore for the construction of 10 cold atmosphere (CA) shops, and the bidding process has already begun.

He said that steps are also being made to guarantee that producers get fair compensation for bad apples.

The development of Rohru came to a stop in the last five years of the previous BJP government, according to Chief Parliamentary Secretary Mohan Lal Brakta, and the locals had great expectations from the current administration.
