In Udaipur, Rajasthan, a girl dies and her mother and siblings are taken ill after dinner

In the Baghpura region of Rajasthan’s Udaipur district, a nine-year-old girl passed away while her mother and two younger siblings were unwell, according to authorities on Monday.

After having dal and roti for supper, Kalavati (30) and her three daughters—Harshita, age nine, Sakshi, age eight, and Hardika, age five—vomitted.

According to Baghpura SHO Karnaram Jat, their family members brought them to a hospital, where Harshita passed away while receiving care.

According to him, the mother is receiving therapy, as are her other two daughters.

According to Jat, preliminary inquiries showed that they had all eaten homemade dal and roti.

Upon post-mortem, Harshita’s corpse was given to her family. He said that once the viscera and post-mortem results are obtained, the true cause of death will be determined.

Jat refuted the claim that the mother and her kids ingested any harmful material as a result of a family quarrel.

According to the officer, a complaint has been filed under Code of Criminal Procedure Section 174, which allows police to investigate and record suicides, among other things.
