Jagjit Chhadbad, the Punjab general secretary for the BSP, is running for the Patiala Lok Sabha seat

Jagjit Chhadbad was named the Bahujan Samaj Party’s (BSP) candidate for the Patiala Lok Sabha constituency on Saturday.

The Punjab section of the party is led by Chhadbad as its general secretary. In 2012 and 2017, he ran on the BSP ticket from Ghana, and in Rajpura in 2012.

Preneet Kaur, a member of the Lok Sabha from the Patiala seat, has been fielded by the BJP.

Senior party officials have strongly objected to the Congress’ decision to run Dr. Dharamvira Gandhi from Patiala.
