Karnataka: Police report a fake call and a bomb threat on Raj Bhavan in Bengaluru

After the NIA control center got a phone call on Monday night claiming that a device was placed inside the Raj Bhavan grounds, Bengaluru Police took action. The caller said that the explosive may go off at any time. After getting a threat call on Monday night, the municipal police were quite anxious. Currently at Belagavi is Karnataka Governor Thawar Chand Gehlot.

The cops realized that the call had been a hoax after running around the Governor’s official residence.

Authorities at Raj Bhavan said that the call came from Bidar, a part of northern Karnataka close to the Maharashtra border.

“It was found via investigations that Bidar had made the call. The call ended, and the phone was switched off. They said, “The caller’s location is being tried by the police.

The Bengaluru police were alerted after an anonymous contact that the NIA control room received around midnight, according to Shekhar H. Tekkannavar, the deputy commissioner of police for the West division of Bengaluru.

Nothing was found, even after a thorough search. We are investigating the circumstances. “As of right now, no one has been arrested,” he said.
