Keralaites get the highest scores in the civil services test

Keralan candidates performed very well in the 2023 civil services test; the results were released on Tuesday.

Up to 11 Keralites are included among the top 200 in a list provided by the Kerala State Civil Services Academy. Among them is P K Sidharth Ramkumar, who placed fourth overall in India on his fifth try.

Sidharth, a native of Ernakulam, enlisted in the Indian Police Service (IPS) and is now receiving training at the National Police Academy in Hyderabad. After completing his studies at the College of Architecture in Thiruvananthapuram, he passed the Civil Services test on his first try in 2020 and went on to enhance his ranking in three more tries. Other Keralites in the top 100 were: Annie George from Kannur (93), Kasturi Sha from Thiruvananthapuram (68), Fabi Rasheed from Thiruvananthapuram (71), and Vishnu Sasikumar (Rank 31), a resident of Gujarat; Archana P P, located in Bengaluru (40); Benjo P Jose from Adoor (59); and Kasturi Sha from Thiruvananthapuram (68).

Amrutha S. Kumar from Ernakulam and Manjusha B. George from Kottayam achieved positions 179 and 195 respectively, while Febin Jose Thomas from Kollam and Vineeth Lohidakshan from Ernakulam got all India numbers 133 and 169, respectively.

According to the academy’s list, 54 Keralites were chosen as candidates for different Civil Services positions. According to the UPSC, 1,016 applicants nationwide passed the test and were suggested for a variety of central government jobs.
