Launch Of Study In India Portal For Foreign Students

The government on Wednesday unveiled the Study In India (SII) webpage, a one-stop shop designed to make it easier for foreign students to navigate India. S. Jaishankar, the minister of external affairs for the union, and Dharmendra Pradhan, the minister of education, together unveiled the webpage.

“By accepting students from all backgrounds, the introduction of this site aims to turn India into a center of global education. It would also assist us in building a solid worldwide presence for the India brand in the field of education. I take notice of the portal’s integrated design, which makes it possible for foreign students to apply in a user-friendly manner from registration to visa acceptance. The choosing of preferred courses and obtaining offers from pertinent schools are made easier thanks to this, Jaishankar said during the inauguration.

There is no question that the presence of overseas students will assist local students from an Indian standpoint. It will better prepare students for a global workforce by bringing them closer to the globalizing globe. He said that learning alongside pupils from different nations improves your awareness of other cultures, customs, traditions, and even ways of thinking.

“Such students truly become ambassadors of goodwill for India when they return to their societies of origin, sometimes even more so,” he said. The new National Education Policy (NEP), according to the education minister, serves as the goal for the site.

According to him, the SII site, which is inspired by the NEP, “reflects our commitment to make India a preferred education destination as well as to blur academic boundaries for shaping a prosperous future.”

The Ministry of Education (MoE) launched its flagship initiative, the SII program, in 2018. By encouraging them to continue their further education in the nation and experience beneficial educational possibilities made possible by top Indian colleges, the initiative aims to promote India as a leading education center for foreign students.
