Leaders of the Congress and BJP are invited to run for LS elections from TS

The state’s opposition BJP and ruling Congress are asking their senior leaders to run in the Lok Sabha elections from Telangana. They do this because they think it would invigorate party cadres to work hard and win as many seats as possible in the polls in April and May of next year.

In a unanimous vote on Monday, the Congress asked former AICC president Sonia Gandhi to run from Medak for the Lok Sabha. Indira Gandhi, the late prime minister, was elected in 1980 from this seat.

Through the statement, the Congress intends to energize the cadre and give the party workers renewed vigor. After the party won the state election, they are still in a positive frame of mind. The party wants to rile them up to take on the LS polls once again.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is being asked by the BJP to run from Telangana. The party cadre’s reaction would be explosive if he accepted. It would assist the saffron party in increasing its total number of Lok Sabha seats above its four-seat total in the state in the 2019 election.

The Congress, which won three seats in the previous elections and swept to power in the state’s Assembly elections, hopes to build on its victory in the next Lok Sabha elections.

With a vote percentage of 39.40 percent, the party claimed victory in the most recent Assembly elections. This is a gain of 10.97 percent over the 2018 Assembly elections. In the 2019 LS elections, it received 30% of the vote. The party’s current goal is to further grow its vote share.

In the most recent Assembly elections, the BJP’s vote share was 13.90 percent, up eight percent from the 2018 Assembly Elections. With a 20% vote percentage, the saffron party secured four seats in the most recent LS elections. It is eager to increase it even more.

With the BRS’s vote share expected to move to both national parties, both parties anticipate gaining a majority of seats. Both parties are expected to divide the seats in Telangana since the Modi craze is at its height right now with the saffron party’s three northern state victories and the Congress’s revival in Telangana.

With a 42% vote share in the most recent elections, the BRS won nine Lok Sabha seats. With cadre morale at an all-time low, it will be difficult for the party to hold onto its vote share in the LS elections.

In the Lok Sabha, Sonia Gandhi now represents Prime Minister Narendra Modi Varanasi and Rae Bareli. The Congress has chosen to encourage Sonia to run from Medak instead of Priyanka Gandhi, the party’s national secretary, as it had originally planned to do. The PM is being asked to run from either Secunderabad or Mahbubnagar by the state BJP.

With a 42% vote share in the most recent elections, the BRS won nine Lok Sabha seats. The party will have difficulties holding onto its current vote share.
