Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena: The Delhi administration will not be run out of prison

VK Saxena, the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi, said on Wednesday that Arvind Kejriwal would remain chief minister despite his incarceration, notwithstanding remarks made by AAP officials to the effect.

The national convener of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Kejriwal, was detained on March 21 by the Enforcement Directorate in connection with a money-laundering case related to the Delhi excise policy. A local court then remanded him to the agency’s custody until March 28.

“I can assure the people of Delhi that the government will not be run from jail,” Saxena said at an event held here.
