Man in Jharkhand is thrashed for stealing an LPG cylinder

In Jamshedpur, Jharkhand, a 22-year-old boy was reportedly beaten to death for stealing an LPG cylinder. After being beaten by a crowd early on Monday morning, a man identified as Aman Mondal suffered severe injuries. He was taken to the MGM Medical College and Hospital, where he later passed away.

Sitting next him on the bike was his buddy Sanjit Dhan, who was badly hurt in the collision and is presently fighting for his life in the ICU.

Suspicion that Aman and Sanjit may have stolen the gas cylinder from a neighboring community was aroused after they were reportedly seen carrying it on Monday at about four in the morning. The two were questioned harshly by the community. Others joined the locals in pounding the two with sticks as the disputes became more heated. A police squad arrived at the scene more than 30 minutes later, and they hurried the two to the hospital, where Aman passed away from his wounds.

According to reports, the late Aman Mondal was incarcerated for four prior instances of theft and robbery before being released from prison one year before. According to the police, efforts are on to catch one suspect while three others have been taken into custody. Police stated they had confiscated the LPG cylinder and a bike that had been used for theft.

The two were subjected to harsh interrogation by the villagers, who then began beating them with sticks as more people joined in.
