Nithyananda, the accused of rape, asserts that she received an invitation to the Ram Temple ceremony on January 22

The runaway self-described godman and rape suspect Nityananda said that he received an invitation to the January 22, 2024, Ram Mandir opening ceremony.

Using social media platform X, Nithyananda addressed himself as the “Supreme Pontiff of Hinduism” and declared his attendance at the function.

“Don’t pass on this amazing and historic occasion! The post said, “During the customary Prana Pratishtha, Lord Rama will be formally invoked in the temple’s main deity and will be landing to grace the entire world.”

“Having been formally invited, THE SUPREME PONTIFF OF HINDUISM (SPH), BHAGAVAN SRI NITHYANANDA PARAMASHIVAM will be attending this grand event,” it said.

The event schedule is also included in the article.

In 2010, Nityananda was charged with rape after an allegation made by his driver. After receiving bail, he was let free. The self-described godman allegedly left the nation in 2020, according to the same driver.
Ayodhya is decked up for the grand event. In advance of the Ram Temple known as “Pran Pratishtha,” Uttar Pradesh Director General of Police (DGP) Vijay Kumar on Saturday issued security directives.

The idol of Shri Ram Lalla, which was sculpted by well-known Mysuru sculptor Arun Yogiraj, was earlier on Thursday positioned within the temple’s sanctum sanctorum. The idol’s first picture, hidden under a veil, was shown off during the placing ceremony.

On January 22, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to attend Ram Lalla’s “Pran Pratishtha” event at the opulent shrine. There will be dignitaries and individuals from all walks of life attending the magnificent event.

A Varanasi priest named Laxmikant Dixit will serve as the team leader for the priests carrying out the principal rites.
