Odisha Train Accident: 289 Dead After Injured Man Passes Away In A Cuttack Hospital

On Tuesday, a wounded passenger passed away at the Srirama Chandra Bhanja Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack, bringing the dead toll from the triple train tragedy in Odisha to 289, according to reports.

Bijay Paswan, a citizen of Bihar, was revealed to be the passenger.

On June 3, a day after one of the deadliest railway accidents in the nation occurred at the Bahanga Bazar station in the Balasore area, he was admitted to the Cuttack hospital.

Paswan had many wounds, including one to the spinal column. He also had hypertension, according to a hospital representative.

According to the deceased’s brother, Paswan’s health deteriorated on Monday night, and he passed away on Tuesday.

At 7 p.m. on June 2, the Coromandel Express struck a stopped goods train, derailing the majority of its coaches. The last few coaches of the Bengaluru-Howrah Express, which was passing through at the same time, were knocked down by a few Coromandel carriages.
