On Muharram, PM Modi honors Imam Hussain
On Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid homage to Imam Hussain, praising his bravery and dedication to the principles of justice and human decency.
On this day, Shia Muslims worldwide, in particular, remember Hussain’s passing at the Battle of Karbala. It is the tenth day of the Islamic month of Muharram, also known as “Ashura”.
“We remember the sufferings of Hazrat Imam Hussain (AS).” He demonstrates remarkable bravery and dedication to the principles of justice and human decency,” Modi said on Twitter.
