PM Modi welcomes the Indian diaspora upon his arrival in Indonesia for the East Asia, ASEAN-India summits

Early on Thursday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi flew into Indonesia for the 20th ASEAN-India Summit and the 18th East Asia Summit.

PM Modi will take part in both the 18th East Asia Summit and the 20th ASEAN-India Summit today in Indonesia.

The prime minister had earlier said in his statement before leaving that he was looking forward to discussing concrete ways to work together to solve global concerns with other leaders.

He also referred to India’s “Act East Policy” and its interaction with the ASEAN bloc as key pillars. The Indonesian President, Joko Widodo, invited the Prime Minister to visit Jakarta.
