Police in Karnataka detain the owner of a diagnostic center for allegedly poisoning his wife

Bengaluru In the Devavrunda hamlet of the Chikkamagaluru district, a 37-year-old man is accused of poisoning his wife to death. Karnataka police have made this arrest, according to authorities.

The victim, Shweta (30), was married to Darshan for more than seven years. Their kid, who is four years old, was their child. Officers have simply provided their first names.

When it was determined that Shweta’s death was probably caused by poisoning rather than natural reasons, Darshan, a lab technician who runs diagnostic centers in Bengaluru, was placed under arrest. Three days ago, the couple, who were living in Bengaluru, went back to their hometown of Devarunda.

Police investigations state that once Shweta found out about Darshan’s extramarital affair, their relationship deteriorated and they often argued. Deepak, Darshan’s brother, phoned Shweta’s brother at approximately six in the morning on Monday to let him know that his sister had passed away from a heart attack.

Suspicion was aroused when Shweta’s brother, Chennoji Rao, made accusations that Darshan and his family had hurriedly made cremation arrangements even before to the arrival of Shweta’s relatives. The corpse was transferred to the Chikkamagaluru district hospital for a post-mortem against the family’s objections.

The victim’s relatives reported to the authorities that Shweta was killed by poisoning at the hands of her husband. They offered an audio recording to back up their allegation, in which Shweta was heard begging another lady to stay away from her husband.

In a flash, the police detained Darshan and filed a formal complaint under IPC section 302 (murder). Shweta’s corpse contained chemicals, according to post-mortem reports, which prompted forensic specialists to gather samples from the murder scene for further examination.

Vikram Amathe, the SP of Chikkamagaluru, verified Darshan’s admission of guilt. “Preliminary investigations indicate that Darshan gave his wife a chemical substance, which is what killed her; we are awaiting the FSL report. According to SP Dr. Vikram Amathe, “It looks to be a cyanide-like chemical, which needs verification.”

In addition, the police threatened to interview the lady Darshan had an affair with. In an audio tape made public by Shweta’s relatives, she can be heard asking the lady not to meet her husband.
