Police in Malerkotla get advanced communication systems

In addition to sophisticated communication systems and related technology, Malerkotla police claimed to have improved personal amenities for police officers in an effort to increase operational efficiency.

At a ceremony conducted at the district police headquarters here on Friday, Patiala DIG Harcharan Singh Bhullar officially opened a state-of-the-art wireless surveillance system and a state-of-the-art gymnasium. The event, which was organized to better educate police officers about the importance of health awareness in the strategic avenues of contemporary policing, was headed by Malerkotla SSP Harkamalpreet Singh Khakh.

DIG Harcharan Singh Bhullar praised the exceptional work of the police officers under the command of SSP Harkamalpreet Singh Khakh and stated that the department at Malerkotla district would greatly benefit from the concurrent development of infrastructure for professional and personal advancement. “We have perked up personal facilities and wireless equipment simultaneously today after realizing that a sound body with refreshed brain was utmost required for operating highly sophisticated communication and surveillance system,” Bhullar stated, adding that the state police was prepared to reduce the crime rate by making the best use of their human resources and the newest investigative tools.

A new system established with the intention of strengthening law and order via real-time monitoring and quick reaction included a wireless closed-circuit television (CCTV) network with high-definition cameras, face recognition, and automated number plate reading capabilities. These and other notable characteristics were highlighted. DIG Bhullar emphasized how crucial it is to use technology in conjunction with competent police. He said, “This system will work as a force multiplier, assisting in the prevention of crime and enabling quick response to incidents.”

SSP Khakh expounded on the matter, stating, “We think that comprehensive coverage at localities surrounded by police districts of Sangrur, Ludhiana, Ludhiana (rural), Barnala, Patiala, and Khanna will deter street crimes like snatching, eve-teasing, and drug peddling.”
