A Nigerian lady detained in Goa with narcotics worth Rs. 15 lakh

Panaji, 16 May According to the police, a Nigerian lady was detained in Goa on suspicion of having narcotics worth Rs 15 lakh.

Faith Chiemerie, 24, has been identified as the lady. According to the police, she traveled by bus from Bengaluru to Goa.

She was found to be in possession of 150 grams of amphetamine and 100 grams of ganja by the police.

According to the police, the accused arrived in India with the intention of attending Lucknow University as a “student.” She did not, however, ever go to the capital of Uttar Pradesh.

“We discovered narcotics worth Rs 15 lakh in her hands when we apprehended her in Mapusa, North Goa. We are looking into who she was giving the narcotics to in Goa as well as where she was getting them,” a policeman said.

“Initial questioning revealed that she had come to Goa along with the contraband for further sale and distribution,” said the officer.
