Putting in place a zero-tolerance policy for corruption in all governmental organizations: ULB Minister

Minister for Haryana Urban Local organizations Kamal Gupta said that the government has been enforcing a zero-tolerance policy against corruption in all civic organizations, including the Rewari Municipal Council, for the last nine years.

Gupta was answering a question posed by Haryana Vidhan Sabha member Chiranjeev Rao during today’s budget session. The minister said that a hotline (1800-180-2022/1064) had been established in each municipality to receive complaints.

Rao cited instances where there was no tolerance for corruption, citing as examples the sterilization of canines that had no results and a road sweeping equipment that required maintenance but was not in use.

In an effort to lessen pollution in the Yamuna, 62 sewage treatment plants (STPs) totaling 1,129 MLD have been erected in the Gurugram Canal, according to Haryana Environment, Forests, and Wildlife Minister Kanwar Pal Gujjar. During the previous five years, 22 STPs have been erected out of these.

Furthermore, eight STPs were being built and sixteen STPs were being renovated. Additionally, five additional STPs with a capacity of 410 MLD have been authorized. He was responding to a query from Congress MLA Aftab Ahmed, who brought up the fact that two Nuh villages had lost residents to cancer as a consequence of tainted water.

In order to create a Mahila Sanskriti Kendra, renovations are now being carried out in an existing structure in Garhi Ruthal village, according to Haryana Development and Panchayats Minister Devender Singh Babli. The kendra will open when the materials and equipment tender was settled. The tendering procedure was ongoing.

According to Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala, roadways on elevated highways have been built on NH-44 in Panipat, and entrance and departure points will be established on routes that link to Assandh, Safidon, and Shamli. For authorization, a letter had been sent to the Center. The entry-exit points would be constructed as soon as consent was given. In response to a query posed by MLA Pramod Vij, the Deputy CM said.
