Rahul Gandhi’s selection from Wayanad is a clumsy move by the Congress: D. Raja

Leading member of the Communist Party of India (CPI), D Raja, stated that the party’s choice to run its former vice president from the seat in the southern state of Kerala was ill-advised as Congress nominee Rahul Gandhi submitted his candidacy on Wednesday.

The veteran of the Left party went on to say that Gandhi ought to have confronted the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) directly in other states if he was opposed to their policies and philosophy.

“This is in front of the Wayanad People. One cannot take Kerala for granted. Some public inquiries have been made over Mr. Rahul Gandhi’s decision to run from the Wayanad. or why the Congress has chosen to oppose the Left with him? During his two Yatras, the Bharat Jodo Yatra Jodo and the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra, Mr. Rahul Gandhi attacked and criticized the BJP-RSS’s policies and philosophy. However, he has not opted to challenge the BJP in an election contest. He made the decision to oppose the Left. The message that the Congress want to convey is being questioned, according to D Raja, the CPI’s general secretary.

Annie Raja, the head of the CPI’s women’s branch, is the Left Democratic Front’s (LDF) candidate for the position. K Surendran, the head of the Kerala chapter of the BJP, has been nominated to run for the seat.

Wayanad state president K Surendran of the BJP is running against Annie Raja of the CPI and Rahul Gandhi of the Congress.
Annie Raja and Rahul Gandhi submit nomination papers for Kerala’s Wayanad LS seat.
In the second round of the parliamentary elections, votes for each of the state’s 20 Lok Sabha seats will be cast on April 26.

“The Congress party need to consider the future of the nation from a wider angle. I stress that Rahul’s nomination from Wayanad represents the Congress’s misguided judgment. There are other seats and locations in states like Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Telangana, or Andhra Pradesh from which he might have chosen to run if he had intended to run from a seat in the South, D Raja said.

He went on to say that the Congress need to be aware of the reasons for the inquiries.

The United Democratic Front (UDF) and the Left Democratic Front (LDF) are engaged in the primary conflict in Kerala. Congress must consider the message it wishes to send to the whole nation. We are talking about federalism, democracy, secularism, and the preservation of the constitution. The left is a devoted force in the fight for India and its destiny. The CPI chief said, “Why should Rahul Gandhi fight against the Left?”
