Rainy weather forced PM Modi to postpone his visit to Kushinagar

Due to heavy rain that caused waterlogging at the location of the event that he was slated to attend, Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s planned trip to the Kushinagar district of Uttar Pradesh on Friday has been postponed.

However, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath assured the public that his planned attendance at the Gita Press’ centennial closing ceremony will go as planned.

The choice of the Gita Press by the Ministry of Culture for the coveted Gandhi Peace Prize-2021 was appreciation of our legacy, Yogi remarked. “Prime Minister Modi has given Gorakhpur plenty of gifts,” he said.

The delay of the Prime Minister Kushinagar visit was previously announced on Facebook by the state’s agriculture minister, Surya Partap Shahi.

Shahi had examined the potential site in the Kushinagar district hamlet of Barwa Farm.

He said that Modi’s trip to Kushinagar will soon be postponed.
