Signalling system malfunction causes disruptions in the Sealdah-Bangaon route for trains
An issue with the signalling system at Madhyamgram station caused a brief interruption in local train service on the Eastern Railway’s Sealdah-Bangaon line on Monday morning, according to a railway official.
As a result of the disruption in train service, many everyday commuters were left stranded at several railway stations.
According to Kaushik Mitra, a spokesman for Eastern Railway, the incident occurred at 7:48 in the morning, was swiftly addressed, and regular train service was resumed by 8:30.
