Six students die in Mahendragarh, Haryana, when a bus overturns; the driver was allegedly intoxicated

The bus they were riding in on Thursday morning in the Kanina subdivision in Unhani village toppled, leaving at least six pupils dead and several more wounded.

Even though Eid-ul-Fitr was a holiday, the school was open.

The event happened when the bus was transporting the kids from their homes to the school in Kanina town.

According to reports, the driver of the bus lost control of the wheel as it approached Unhani village, allegedly due to intoxication.

When a bystander heard kids yelling, they hurried over to remove the wounded kids off the bus. After being transported to a neighboring hospital, a few of them were pronounced dead. It is also said that several of them are in serious condition.

After learning about the occurrence, district administration and police personnel hurried to the hospital. According to the police source, the bus driver had been apprehended and was being questioned to determine the precise cause of the accident.
