Telangana: BRS is against the state emblem’s removal of Charminar and Kakatiya Thoranam

BRS MLA Kadiyam Srihari on Wednesday strongly objected to the government’s decision to remove the ancient icons, the Kakatiya Thoranam and Charminar, from the state insignia, requesting that they reconsider.

The representative from Station Ghanpur said during the vote-on-account budget discussion in the Assembly: “Kakatiya Thoranam and Charminar have historical significance.” They stand for the rich history and culture of Telangana. The rich heritage of Telangana seems to be being distorted by a conspiracy. The state emblem’s decision to have these emblems removed should be reconsidered by the government. The state’s historical and cultural character need to be preserved.

“Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy could be upset with the BRS and previous chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao. However, it shouldn’t influence the choices made by the government. Since Kakatiya Thoranam represents the pride and self-respect of the Telangana people, its removal from the state emblem is unjust, he said.

“How are you going to raise more money to implement 6G?”

The BRS MLA questioned the administration over the six promises that the Congress had committed to execute, as well.

Within a hundred days after taking office, you pledged to keep your word to the Telangana people and deliver on your promises. There are only two assurances being fulfilled. What about the remaining assurances? It is estimated that the implementation of the six assurances would cost Rs 136 lakh crore each year. But in the vote-on-account Budget, Finance Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka only allotted Rs 53,196 crore,” he said.

“Where are the enormous extra Rs 136 lakh crore coming from? Are you planning to raise taxes? Srihari said, “The administration did not provide clarification.

In addition to the 13 commitments listed under its six pledges, the Congress also issued proclamations on behalf of women, farmers, minorities, SCs, STs, and BCs. In order to administer the loan waiver program for farmers, the government must to raise more money, he said.

Srihari said, “The government promised to sanction 3,500 houses in each Assembly constituency,” in reference to the housing plans. The government has to raise Rs 24,000 crore in order to build the 4,16,500 dwellings that it has promised to build across 119 constituencies. The Congress pledged to provide qualified people Rs 2,500 per month under its Mahalakshmi plan. Approximately Rs 20,000 crore in funding are needed to carry out this plan, according to Srihari.

Declaring that the BRS would not object if the state government conducted an investigation into the Medigadda pillars sinking, Srihari pushed the state government to restore the barrage and build a cofferdam so that farmers could get irrigation water.

Build a cofferdam at Medigadda.

Pink party MLA Kadiyam Srihari asked the state government to take up restoration of the barrage and erect a cofferdam for the purpose, saying that the BRS has no objections provided the government commissions a probe into the sinking of Medigadda pillars.
