The BJP cannot form a government in Himachal Pradesh with disqualified MLAs: Sukhvinder Sukhu

During a visit to Kangra today, Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu unleashed a caustic assault on the BJP. Sukhu said, “The BJP is trying to topple the state government with the help of six rebel Congress MLAs,” during a public gathering in the Nagrota Bagwan Assembly seat, which is represented by Congress MLA RS Bali. Still, I’m ready for a battle. With the support of the six dissident MLAs, the BJP cannot win control of the state. The whole five-year tenure of the Congress government will end.

While he acknowledged that the dissident MLAs and he may not agree, he criticized them for leaving the party. He claimed that an MLA who had served as a minister in the previous Congress administration had revolted just because he had not been appointed as a minister this time, alluding to Sudhir Sharma, the MLA for Dharamsala.

Despite holding many high-ranking roles inside the party, I was not appointed as a minister in the previous Congress administration. I didn’t defy the organization. Every MLA cannot always be given a cabinet post by the party, he said.

Bali has emerged as a powerful supporter of the Chief Minister in the politically delicate Kangra district. Bali oversaw the demonstration during the present government turmoil. Sukhu was really demonstrating his strength with the rally.

“The Chief Minister has worked tirelessly for the people of the state during the 14 months that the Congress government has been in power,” said Bali. For government personnel covered by the new pension plan (NPS), he has instituted the old pension scheme (OPS). The Chief Minister took the initiative during the natural catastrophe and reached out to the impacted population. The amount of compensation given to those impacted by the monsoon fury has been greatly increased. The futuristic plan to make Himachal self-sufficient has been introduced by the Chief Minister.

The rally was attended by the majority of the Kangra Congress MLAs, including Sanjay Rattan (Jawalamukhi), Malender Rajan (Indora), Ahsish Butail (Palampur), Kewal Singh Pathania (Shahpur), and Sunder Singh Thakur (Kullu). HPCC treasurer Rajesh Sharma attended the Chief Minister’s event in the Dehra region. Sharma has run unsuccessfully from Dehra in the last Assembly elections.
